My week at training camp…the best way that I can think to describe it to you is the way that I first described it to my parents…the best week of my life.
Team Purple

It was not the best week of my life because it was easy or relaxing; it was the best week because during this week God gave me a glimpse of His amazing Kingdom and introduced me to my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Throughout the week God challenged me to go to the next level in trusting his will. Hebrews 11:1 says that, "faith is the substance of things hoped for". I translate this to mean that because of my faith in God, I do not need to worry about what is to come because I know that His amazing hand is in control of it all.

So, I stopped worrying. Truly. I did everything in my power to surrender my hopes to God. Towards the end of the week I began to see why God showed me the need for surrender. He wanted me to surrender because He had a greater plan for me for this trip: to step up and become a leader.

Now, to say that this scared me is an understatement. I had and still have no idea how I am going to be able to lead a team of my peers in a foreign country while simultaneously encouraging their faith to grow and mine as well. I am learning, though, to welcome this challenge from God and ignore my own fears and doubts because with God ANYTHING is possible!

So, I trusted the Lord with the possibility of me becoming a leader and I was then asked to lead a group of five amazing men and women of Christ to Nicaragua.

Team Rooted!

The Adventures in Missions team could not have put us together any better! Our team name is Rooted. We all decided upon this name because we are rooted in our beliefs and we want to be able to go out into the nations and spread the gospel to the Hungering World. We want our roots to grow upwards together to create an amazing tree. A tree that resembles the kingdom God has instore for every single one of us!

I invite you on my journey! Please comment under my blogs and please pray for me, my team, and my squad as we spread our roots to Nicaragua, the Philippines, and Kenya. I will try to blog every week, so please subscribe to me. God Bless you and thank you for reading!!
